Autumn & Winter Breaks in Spean Bridge and Great Glen
Autumn and winter in the Great Glen and Spean Bridge area is often a magical time of year. Our forested glens are changing colour in all their splendour, then when the temperature drops and the mountains are covered in snow, the scenery changes again. Look out for high-pressure over the West Highlands when the weather here can be superb, with bright frosty mornings and awesome winter sunsets.
Highland Actitives are one of our outdoor providers who offer scenic Landrover safaris in Monarch of the Glen country by Loch Laggan. Their 4 x 4 Quad biking sessions in the snow are fabulous fun for everyone !
If winter climbing or ice climbing is something you would like to try, our outdoor mountain guides are here to offer a variety of climbing experiences.
Nevis Range is open in time for Christmas and a gondola ride to their mountain restaurant is a really good activitiy - take your camera or video cos the views can be stunning - especially in the middle of the afternoon as the sun is setting...
